T4SH is embarking on an exciting project! We want to work with tenants across the city to develop a Tenant Bill of Rights. We envision this as a tool that tenants will be able to use to demand the respect that we deserve from landlords and all levels of government.
The Tenant Bill of Rights will be based on the real voices of tenants living in rental homes across the city, and its content will be driven by tenant experiences. So we want to hear from you! We have created an on-line survey, and have a downloadable version too ( Tenant Bill Survey ). We will be working across the city to engage tenants in their communities and at events. We hope to have a draft of the Bill of Rights by Fall 2013, and we plan to re-engage tenants for their feedback on this draft.
